Application: The additive provides a strong reduction in surface tension of coatings and printing inks. This thus particularly improves the wetting of the substrate and prevents the formation of craters. The slip and gloss of the surface are also increased. In aqueous systems it improves anti-blocking properties.

BYK-019 - Silicone defoamer for aqueous pigment concentrates for use in coatings, printing inks and printing varnishes. Prevents foaming during grinding. Long-term stability and shear stability. Particularly suitable for resin-free grinding (suspensions).
Application: BYK-019 is particularly suitable for aqueous coating systems based on polyurethane dispersions and polyurethane/acrylate combinations, as well as defoaming pigment concentrates.

BYK-1790 is a silicone-free, polymer-based defoamer for solvent-free radiation-cured wood and industrial coatings, printing inks and adhesives. Suitable for pigmented and non-pigmented coating systems.
Application: BYK-1790 is silicone-free and is recommended for solvent-free, radiation-curable (UV and ESH) coating systems (pigmented and non-pigmented), printing inks and printing varnishes. The high efficiency of the defoamer is not affected by pigments, fillers, wax additives or matting agents.
